Day 1: Colombo → Sigiriya

  • Start your journey with a visit to the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient frescoes and panoramic views. Stay overnight in Sigiriya.

 

Day 2: Polonnaruwa and Dambulla

  • Discover the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a treasure trove of ruins, temples, and statues. Later, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, home to stunning murals and Buddha statues. Stay overnight in Kandy.

 

Day 3: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

  • Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, then take a scenic train ride to Nuwara Eliya. Explore lush tea plantations and enjoy the cool mountain air in this charming hill country town.

 

Day 4: Horton Plains and Ella

  • Embark on a hike through Horton Plains to World’s End for spectacular views, then continue to Ella. Visit Little Adam’s Peak and the famous Nine Arches Bridge before settling in for the night in Ella.

 

Day 5: Yala National Park and Galle Fort

  • Enjoy an adventurous safari at Yala National Park, renowned for its leopards and exotic wildlife. Later, visit the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before heading to Mirissa for an overnight stay.

 

Day 6: Whale Watching and Return to Colombo

  • Start your day with a thrilling whale-watching excursion in Mirissa, where you may spot blue whales and dolphins. Conclude your journey with a scenic drive back to Colombo.
